The Vibration Damper for Generator Sets with Terminals Haenke is made from 300 series stainless steel alloy Flexible Metal Tubing (corrugated). It is designed to be installed between the engine's exhaust manifold and the rigid piping of the generator set's exhaust system, thus eliminating any strain on the rigid piping of the exhaust system, especially when the engine is turbocharged.
Its function is to absorb vibrations transmitted from the engine to the exhaust system and thermal expansion movements.
Advantages of Use
Minimizes stress from the rigid pipe on the engine manifold or turbine;
Absorbs movements and vibrations transmitted from the engine to the exhaust system;
Increases the durability of engine parts and the exhaust system and its supporting parts;
Compensates for movements and variations caused by thermal expansion;
Promotes tightness between the turbine, manifold and exhaust system.
